Windermere is shaped around a feeling of comfort and immersion. The piece moves slowly, with sound constantly softened, filtered, and reshaped. Some moments feel like sinking into water, where edges become less defined and everything begins to float and merge.

The music is built around these transitions, letting the experience of depth, motion, and texture guide the form.

Inspiration

The title comes from a place I lived during high school. Windermere was a quiet area where I experienced a rare sense of calm and mental space. It was also a time when I began thinking seriously about listening, attention, and what music could feel like beyond notes on a page. For years, I carried the idea of returning to that atmosphere.
