Milestones Original Soundtracks

milestones is a feature-length documentary by mu fei xu examining contemporary chinese presence and development in africa. gong composed the original score for the film, creating over fifteen pieces of music that move between composed material and electronic sound design. the score was developed to support long-form narrative flow while creating an immersive listening environment that extends beyond background music, shaping emotional pacing, memory, and atmosphere throughout the film. the original score has received international recognition, including a platinum prize at the max bruch international music competition.
